Anna and Carrie have worked in progressive schools for a combined 40 years. Most recently, Carrie served as the Curriculum Coordinator and Assistant Director of the Children's Community School of West Philadelphia and as an early childhood teacher and Social Emotional Learning Specialist at The Philadelphia School, and Anna as a lead early childhood educator teaching  kindergarten at Manhattan Country School and a Breathe 4 Change certified Social Emotional Learning Workshop Facilitator.  Nurturing children's growth and supporting the adults who hold and help them are their life's passion.  Their teaching is grounded in social justice and disability justice principles, and they integrate mindfulness, curiosity and playfulness into their work with both big and little people.  Carrie holds an MA from UC Berkeley in Elementary Education, Anna holds an MsEd from Bank Street College in Early Childhood Education, and they both received a BA from Wesleyan University, where they met on their very first day of freshman year in their dorm hallway; they have been best friends ever since.
